The Rare Occasions joined DJ Nico in the booth last Friday night and graced our airwaves with their presence and excellent insight on their music and general information on the band. Here’s a picture of the band relaxing with Nico in between on-air breaks.
They talked about the fun of taping their newest music video in one of their basements, which they described as the creepiest in New England (if you would like to contest this claim to fame, I’m sure they would be happy to hear from you). They also recently recorded a new EP, which will be released sometime next month. They will premiere many of their new songs at the first BRU semifinal concert this Friday in Cranston. The concert will be held at JR’s Bourbon Street Rock House. It’s $5 and 21+, and it’ll be a great show with Satellites Fall and Lolita Black joining The Rare Occasions. It’s going to be a show you don’t want to miss.
I’ll leave you with a sample of their music, Miss Mary Mack.
Also, who couldn’t love this band?
