Weezer does Muppets

With the new Muppet movie slated for release late this November, a whole bunch of great bands have teamed up to pay tribute to Jim Henson’s puppet freakouts.  ”The Green Album,” complete with a smiling Kermit, features covers of classic Muppet hits performed by a slew of BRU acts including Alkaline Trio, My Morning Jacket, Airborne Toxic Event, and OK Go.  And who, you ask, gets the honor of singing “The Rainbow Connection”?  None other than Weezer (they of the original “Green Album”) and Hayley Williams of Paramore.  Check out the full track listing here, courtesy of New York Magazine.
