BROCKHAMPTON announced plans this week for up to three albums and a documentary film to be released in the coming months. The news comes after a tumultuous summer for the band. The group released three albums in 2017, cementing their place as hip hop’s most prolific and exciting young group.

4. The Smashing Pumpkins sample upcoming album

The Smashing Pumpkins released a new single, “Silvery Sometimes (Ghosts),” on Friday and announced an upcoming album, their first since 2014’s Monuments to an Elegy. The single treads in familiar territory for the alt-rock veterans, whose much-anticipated upcoming project is due out in November.

5. Lana Del Rey releases a new single

Lana Del Rey premiered her new single, “Mariners Apartment Complex,” on Wednesday. The song is an unlikely collaboration between Del Rey and Jack Antonoff, the prolific singer and producer.
