Gorillaz' post-apocalyptic LP drops just in time for Trump's 100th day in office
After six long years, Gorillaz’ fifth album Humanz is finally out. There are 20 tracks (plus six additional tracks on the deluxe addition). The LP boasts a long list of featured artists; band mastermind Damon Albarn reportedly asked every collaborator to imagine a moment where everything they believed was turned upside down and tap into those feelings when recording. For Albarn, it was when Donald Trump was elected president. Though the LP refrains from directly referencing him, the politically-tinged album was released just one day shy of Trump’s 100th day in office. Catch Gorillaz when they play Boston in July!
