Alt-J release music video for “3WW”
Yesterday, alt-J released the music video for “3WW,” the first track from their upcoming album Relaxer. In a recent tweet, the British band described the video, a collaboration with director Young Replicant, as “a beautifully shot story of love & loss in Mexico.” The band have also updated their website with a new video game soundtracked by the song. The game allows players to walk around and encounter characters that trigger photos and clips of the band. Relaxer is alt-J’s first LP since 2014’s This Is All Yours, and is due out June 9th.
HAIM announce new album with billboards worldwide
A picture of HAIM has been plastered across billboards in London, LA, Berlin, and Sydney. It seems like a hint that the release of the band’s long-anticipated album, which was originally scheduled for release in autumn 2015, is finally imminent! In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly, the LA trio stated, “We write everything, we play everything, and we help produce everything. These things take time, and we refuse to put out anything we’re not 100 percent in love with.” The album will be the follow-up to HAIM’s 2013 debut Days Are Gone, and will likely include unreleased tracks “Nothing’s Wrong” and “Give Me Just A Little Of Your Love.”
Mac DeMarco debuts new songs
On April 12th, Mac DeMarco debuted two new songs from his forthcoming LP This Old Dog, “Dreams From Yesterday” and “Moonlight on the River,” during a live session on KCRW. During the session, he also played previously released songs from the album, “This Old Dog,” “My Old Man,” and “On the Level.” The album is set to drop on May 5th. Check out Mac’s performance above!
Wavves release “Million Enemies” video
This week, Wavves released a glam rock-influenced video for “Million Enemies.” Directed by Rocco Rivetti, the video references 1970s televised music performances and glam rock stars with platform shoes, boas, capes, and just the right amount of sparkles.The song will be on the San Diego band’s forthcoming album You’re Welcome, which will be out May 19th via Ghost Ramp.
Feist shares new video for “Pleasure”
On April 12th Feist shared the music video for “Pleasure,” the title track from her forthcoming album. The video features Feist dancing and swirling through distorted and blurred video effects. Feist will start her North American and European tour April 27th, and the album, also entitled Pleasure, will be out April 28th through Interscope.
