Bastille, Local Natives, The Head and the Heart, AND Grouplove release albums

If you’re on the hunt for new music, you’ve hit the jackpot: four BRU favorites released albums today! Bastille released their sophomore album, Wild World; L.A. band Local Natives shared their third LP, Sunlit Youth; indie-folk group The Head and the Heart dropped their major-label debut, Signs of Light; and Grouplove released their third album, Big Mess. Green Day announce tour, drop new single

Green Day got us excited when they released “Bang Bang,” the lead single from their upcoming LP Revolution Radio, and now they’ve dropped the title track! “Revolution Radio” is a fast-paced, guitar-heavy track with incisive lyrics that discuss injustice and rebellion. It’s the Green Day you know and love, back with a vengeance. What's more, the group announced dates for their upcoming tour! Kings of Leon share first single from new album

Can’t wait for Kings of Leon to release their seventh album, Walls, this fall? The wait isn’t over just yet, but today, the band released its lead single, “Waste a Moment,” to tide us over! The song is KOL at their finest; check it out below!

Dave Grohl's mom publishing book about raising rock stars

We’ve all wondered what our favorite artists were like as kids (we can’t be the only ones who had questionable haircuts in middle school, right?). Luckily for us, Virginia Hanlon Grohl is here to answer our burning questions. The mother of Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, Virginia wrote the upcoming memoir From Cradle to Stage: Stories from the Mothers Who Rocked and Raised Rock Stars. The book, out in April 2017, features interviews with the mothers of many of rock’s biggest names, including the moms of Michael Stipe of R.E.M., the Haim sisters, and Amy Winehouse!

CRX releases first single

Recently, Nick Valensi of The Strokes started a new project, CRX; this week, the fledgling band released its first single! "Ways to Fake It" has brooding lyrics, but with its 2000s-pop-punk vibes, summery synths, and catchy guitar licks, it's definitely a new jam. Check it out below!
