My Chemical Romance Returns?
After My Chemical Romance tweeted out a teaser video with the intro of “Welcome to the Black Parade” and the date 9/23/16, there was speculation that the band was reuniting or going on tour. Later, the band released a statement explaining that there would not be a reunion, however they are re-releasing The Black Parade with demos, unheard songs, and alternate versions of tracks.
Taking Back Sunday Announce Tour
Taking Back Sunday has announced that they will be going on tour in the fall to promote their upcoming album Tidal Wave. The band will play with opener You Blew It! at The Met in Pawtucket on October 1.
Radiohead Music Video Contest
Over the past couple of months, Radiohead has been releasing short vignettes for each track off their new album A Moon Shaped Pool created by various artists. The band has put out an open call for fans to create the final vignette using an alternative version of “Daydreaming,” through July 30. The winner, chosen by the band, will have his or her vignette featured on Radiohead.com.
Coldplay and Michael J. Fox Play Back to the Future Songs
While in New Jersey promoting their most recent album, A Head Full of Dreams, Coldplay was joined onstage by Michael J. Fox to channel Marty McFly and play two songs from Back to the Future, “Earth Angel” and “Johnny B. Goode.” Chris Martin called it “a dream come true.”
Catfish and the Bottlemen Release New Music Video
Catfish and the Bottlemen have released the music video for their new single “Twice” off their album The Ride. The video is rather minimalist, solely featuring black and white shots of the band playing the song. The release of the video came with the announcement of new US Fall Tour dates. The band will be in Boston on October 16.
