Radiohead Hosting Exclusive Event

 

 

On Friday, June 17th, Radiohead will host a special event in record stores around the world. Live From A Moon Shaped Pool will feature “an exclusive day long audio stream from the band, competitions, instructional artworks and more.” Providence record store What Cheer Records + Vintage is one of the many stores around the globe that will host the exclusive event. Red Hot Chili Peppers Wrestle and Strip on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

 

 

The Late Late Show debuted a crazy new Carpool Karaoke segment featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The video features the band singing some of their classics and their new single “Dark Necessities.” Conversation turns to a discussion on wrestling which spurs an impromptu wrestling match between host James Corden and Anthony Kiedis on a stranger’s lawn. After Corden’s quick defeat, the group returns to the car and ends the segment with some partial nudity.

Napster is Back

 

 

After its 2001 shutdown and eventual acquisition by various companies, the former music sharing site Napster has returned. Rhapsody, the music streaming company and current owner of the Napster brand, has announced that it is rebranding and will take on the formerly infamous name. Though the service itself will remain unchanged, the company will now operate as Napster.

CHVRCHES Releases New Lyric Video

 

 

CHVRCHES has released the lyric video for the new remix of their song “Bury It.” The track, originally off their 2015 album Every Open Eye, features Hayley Williams of Paramore. The remix was first performed live at their show in Nashville, and the lyric video marks the release of the studio version.

Spotify Joins the Online Dating Game

 

 

Spotify has announced that they are “hooking up” with the app Bumble to add a new dimension to online dating. Users of the dating app will now be able sync their Spotify account and showcase their most-played artists to potential suitors. The integration is designed to “help people make more connections with music taste in mind,” and will ideally act as an easy conversation starter.
