The Smiths Complete, Out Now

The Smiths Complete, a boxed set featuring eight albums remastered by Johnny Marr, was released on CD earlier this week. The vinyl edition will hit stores this Monday, October 24th.

According to a Rhino press release, the CD boxed set version features each album packaged in a mini-LP replica sleeve complete with the original artwork, including gatefolds and inner sleeves where relevant. The vinyl version consists of the original albums – five single LPs and three doubles – pressed on 180-gram audiophile vinyl and presented in all their 12’ glory with beautifully restored artwork.

Rhino, who is releasing the set, has also created a 12 track sampler from the new collections containing songs from all eight albums by The Smiths, each fully remastered by Johnny Marr and engineer Frank Arkwright using the original tape sources.
