Rock Hunt Every Spring, WBRU hosts a local music competition . Local bands get to compete for great prizes in front of a panel of music industry professionals. 2003's winner was Zox, 2004's was The Lingo and this year Sasquatch and the Sickabillies stole the show. Date Series WBRU brings tons of up-and-coming national acts to Providence for low ticket prices. And we're committed to putting a local band on every one of these bills. It's our way of exposing local artists to larger audiences and giving back to the local music community.
