The water search in Warren for a possible missing boater has been suspended. The Rhode Island Coast Guard searched for a possible man-over-board after finding an unattended inflatable boat. The search lasted for several hours, using rescue boats and a helicopter. The Coast Guard says it will not continue to actively search the area, but will keep a look out for any developments.

The Ocean State has suffered three underage drinking deaths in the past year alone. Last month, Rhode Island lawmakers bolstered the state’s social host law in hopes of keeping booze out of the hands of minors and tragedies out of the headlines. Rhode Island Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and other senate democrats called on the head of the Envrionmental Protection Agency to resign for an investigation.
