About

Welcome to WBRU.com! We’re trying out something new with our website. Rather that a boring page with a couple of links and not much content, we’ve turned our site into a blog. The front page will now be the place to look for music news, WBRU events, local concert reviews, new album reviews, and all things music. There will also be podcasts of band interviews and live performances from in the studio, both new and old.To navigate our blog, look for the Archives list in the side bar on the right of the page. Click the to expand a category; for example, under the music category, we have links to information and reviews for tons of bands! Follow the links to pages with all of the posts from our blog about each topic.

You can also navigate the blog through the Archives tab in our navigation bar at the top of the screen. Click the links in the dropdown menu to find all of the music, reviews, podcast, WBRU and Providence posts.

If you’re interested in finding out more about what’s playing on WBRU, or our programming like The List, Essential Albums, 12 Cuts and Home BRU’d, follow the links in the dropdown menu under the Music tab in the navigation bar at the top of the screen. You can also rate the music we play on WBRU.

To find out about the latest news or sports coverage, click on News or Sports in the navigation bar. You can also follow the links in each dropdown menu to hear podcasts of news and sports reports. Also, as 2008 will be ripe with political happenings up until the election in November, we’ve added a link to election coverage right in the news dropdown menu.

Be sure to check out upcoming BRU events through the events tab in the navigation bar, and hang out with the BRU crew at events all around Providence and southern New England. And take a look at our photo archive through the photos tab to see pictures from WBRU events and concerts like the Summer Concert Series and Birthday Bash.

Finally, if you’re interested in listening online, you can stream 95.5 WBRU live from your computer. Just click the link in the top left-hand corner of the page, or follow the link in the side bar on the right side of the page.

Check back often for updates and all new content!

Sooo, heard about Stealing Jane? If not, look em up. They’re a band from Long Island, NY. they’re music is a good blend of rock, pop and jazz. Play them on the radio, youll get a lot of listeners. More than you have now (:
People love them, and those who dont know them, will love them. Give em a listen.
