Ambulance LTD’s song “Anecdote” is in a new Sprint commercial, dubbed “Tying Shoes”.
Ambulance played acoustic in our studio a few years ago while we were spinning “Primitive (The Way I Treat You)”, but they declined to play it live because they didn’t believe they could replicate it satisfactorily with their acoustic guitars and the electric keyboard borrowed from our Music Director’s roommate. Instead, they played the Velvet Underground’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror”.
In 2006 the rest of the band quit and reformed as the Red Romance, but singer Marcus Congleton is working on a new album as Ambulance LTD with John Cale of, yep, the Velvet Underground. What is it with those guys?
