Home Bru’d Presents: The Complaints

Providence staple, The Complaints stopped by for an exclusive WBRU Home Bru’d Session. We got to hear some great tracks and fun facts throughout an exclusive set and an interview with Derek! Check out the highlights below and be sure to catch The Complaints LIVE at Waterplace Park this Friday!

We kicked off with “The Fall” a single I loved for its acoustics and mix of high and low tempos. The band comments at the end of the track, “I told you we were makin it up as we go!” and you definitely can feel the improvisational energies throughout the song. See for yourself!

This next track resonated even more, and it’s easy to see why! We think the group perfectly captures our wonderful city in a personable way. Check it out and let us know what you think of “Prince of Providence” in the comments below!

Next up is “No” — a song with a simple now but a less than simple melody, with intricate picking and strumming all around and a super catchy chorus and progression! Get ready to have this one stuck in your head for the rest of the day!
