Exposure: 9/23 – 9/26 + A Bonus Throwback

Finally, we have reached the last full week of Exposure in September. The wedding was amazing, so a wave of euphoria lasted throughout this week. Also, we’re getting closer to the holiday season! And autumn weather! Sweater weather! Autumn sweaters! Here is something courtesy of the amazing Yo La Tengo that couldn’t be more fitting.

This lady knows what’s up. If she’d smile a bit more, she’d be in “dream girl” category.

On top of that, their show at Fete was the 27th! After that, the comeback kings (punny), Kings of Leon, who are back on track with their 6th LP, Mechanical Bull. Especially exciting is that we checked out their 2004 album Aha Shake Heartbreak, which fits into the list of “Top 10 Records that Stuth has Played Over and Over Again”. Yes, its that good.

Theme for this week: Collaboration. Josh Homme (frontman of Queens of the Stone Age) and I have a lot in common – insane guitar skills, sweet shades, and irresistible good looks just to name a few. (Just kidding). The biggest thing that we share in common, however, is a love of collaboration in music. What could possibly be better than an amazing mind making wonderful songs? TWO amazing minds making wonderful songs TOGETHER!

In parentheses are the reasons why each of these songs were selected, whether it be a simple artist feature or a supergroup.
