WBRU
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Responsibilities include:
*Locating potential accounts
in the Rhode Island/Southeastern Massachusetts area
and gaining access to advertising decision makers.
*Understanding how to ascertain
client marketing needs.
*Creating problem solving
marketing ideas for prospects and clients and persuading
these companies to invest in your ideas.
*Understanding the benefits
of advertising on radio.
*Understanding the benefits
of advertising on WBRU Radio.
*Consulting prospects and
clients on developing a position for their businesses
and effectively communicating their unique position
to their target market.
*Understanding the advantages
and disadvantages of advertising on competing media
such as newspaper, television, direct mail, web,
and billboards.
*Developing a basic understanding
of client businesses and industries.
*Writing customer focused
proposals.
*Making sales presentations,
answering objections and asking customers to invest
in your advertising plan.
*Understanding quantitative
and qualitative data and how to incorporate research
into sales proposals/presentations.
*Understanding how to write
on air commercials that truly persuade WBRU listeners
to purchase products or services from your accounts.
*Working effectively in an
environment comprised of students, including student
managers, and professionals.
*Developing radio advertising
schedules to meet client objectives.
