Jay Postal

Jay Postal is a native Rhode Islander, born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island. Throughout the years, Jay developed a vast appreciation for liberal arts which has ultimately transcended into a lifelong passion and support of the arts and the music industry. With several years of on-air, promotions and marketing experience, there is no doubt that Postal has has immense passion for radio. This has propelled him to continue to hone his talents and has also led to his weekday overnight 2-6AM and weekend afternoon spot on 95.5 WBRU-FM from 3-7 PM to be Southern New England’s (Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut's) #1 Rated show for urban listeners, and #1 amongst all the radio formats in the marketplace. Jay is very inspired in his current role as Urban Music Director and Weekend Afternoon On-Air personality for (WBRU FM Providence-Pawtucket-Warwick). Jay's young entertainment career has had stops at CBS, Universal Music Group Republic Records, and even Clear Channel. Having a true appreciation for the musically gifted, his favorite artists are Michael Jackson and John Legend. With a diverse taste in music, he is also a huge fan of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pretty Lights, Frank Ocean etc. Postal, as a music director in a Arbitron/PPM world has not shied away from soul and R&B, and has had a significant impact in the marketplace when it comes to supporting the music and singles of urban/urban A/C formatted R&B artists like John Legend, Brandy, Elle Varner, Fantasia, Tank, Keyshia Cole, Vivian Greene, Beyonce, Mary J. Blidge, Miguel, Mariah Carey, Estelle, Ashanti, Monica, Melanie Fiona, Jennifer Hudson, Aaliyah, Jazmine Sullivan, Marsha Ambrosius, the Weekend etc. This has led to high-profile celebrity co-signs from rappers P.
