The City of Providence hosted a community conversation at Providence Career and Technical Academy about how to repurpose and revitalize vacant and abandoned property last night. The event also introduced community development leaders from the University of Memphis Law School who will inspect various blighted properties in the city and give recommendations how to fix the problem.

More than 140,000 Rhode Island households and businesses lost power after stormy weather Sunday night, according to numbers from National Grid. In Providence County more than 66,000 residents and businesses are currently without power, according to ABC6 News.
