I’m torn between “Natural Science” and “Xanadu,” both by Rush. How does one choose betwixt a multi-part ode to intellectualism and a song about immortality and ice caves? I agree, it’s impossible.

Favorite Concert/Festival Ever?

Tough question. Three stand out…  Weezer + Cold War Kids + Manchester Orchestra for $10 at Verge in Milwaukee in the pouring rain was sick. Jack White was shredding 10 feet from my face when I saw the Dead Weather a few summers ago, but that might have been matched by snagging tickets to one of the Shins’ comeback concerts in September.

Best and Worst Part of Being a DJ at WBRU?

Best: Anyone who tells you that meeting bands isn’t the coolest thing ever is lying to your face. Punch him or her and spit.

Worst: When you go more than a month without seeing a concert. It’s a hard-knock life, ja?
